What's Happening?
$1.1 M to be Awarded in Grants and Scholarships
The Foundation has launched its 2017 grant programs! The primary emphasis for our grants this year is continued support of the Call to Action for Schenectady's Youth initiatve. The Foundation has already funded a number of Call to Action programs, and plans to make commitments that continue those projects that are showing strong progress, as well as making new commitments that address one or more of the three CTA pillars: Mentoring, Youth Employment and Community Engagement.
The Foundation is also interested in making investments in emerging efforts to revitalize neighborhoods in the City of Schenectady. Projects that add value to the Foundation's existing revitalization grants (e.g. Hillside View Project, Project Railbridge, Vale and Tribute Park) may receive priority.
